Historic Win for the Indian Men’s Hockey Team

Lakshya Sen Makes History in Indian Badminton
Lakshya Sen has achieved a historic milestone in Indian badminton. With a thrilling three-game victory over Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tien-Chen in the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics 2024, Sen has become the first Indian male shuttler to reach the badminton singles semi-finals at the Olympics. He joins the ranks of PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal as the third Indian overall to reach this stage. Sen is now just one win away from securing a medal. Before Sen, Kidambi Srikanth (2016) and Parupalli Kashyap (2012) had reached the quarter-finals, but Sen’s achievement set a new benchmark for Indian badminton.
Lakshya Sen remains India’s sole hope for a badminton medal at the Paris Olympics.
