Miles Routledge Racist Jokes and Threats Lead to Massive Backlash Online

British YouTuber Miles Routledge, who gained fame after getting stuck in Afghanistan during the Taliban takeover, is now facing severe backlash for making racist comments about Indians.

The controversy began when Routledge posted a meme on X (formerly Twitter) that joked about starting a nuclear war with India. His offensive remarks quickly sparked outrage online.

Routledge, also known as “Lord Miles,” has over 126,000 subscribers on YouTube. He first became known in 2021 after visiting Afghanistan, a dangerous country. Despite the chaos, he claimed to have made friends with both Taliban members and NATO forces. In 2023, during his third visit, the Taliban detained him for eight months, an experience he described as his “most enjoyable holiday” because of the connections he made.

In 2024, Routledge stirred more controversy with racist comments about India and Africa. His comments, including jokes about nuclear war, have drawn widespread condemnation. Recently, he shared a threatening message from someone who said they would find him and make him apologize publicly. Routledge responded by posting his detailed address, which only intensified the backlash.

He also mocked the Indian accent in a post, writing phrases like “Saar okay lord saar good luck saar haha saar.” When a troll account criticized him, Routledge replied with more racist remarks and shared screenshots of their conversation, which included his location and description of his clothes. His response, viewed over 5 million times, included taunts and challenges.

This isn’t the first time Routledge has made offensive comments. Earlier this month, he tweeted about wishing to be reincarnated as a virus to address overpopulation in India.
