Navneet Rana, the fiery leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who made headlines in 2022 with the Hanuman Chalisa controversy, has launched a scathing attack on the Owaisi brothers in Telangana. She asserted that if somebody withdrew the police from duty for 15 seconds, both brothers would be bewildered about their whereabouts.

During a public rally supporting BJP candidate Madhavi Latha, Rana stated, “The younger brother says, remove the police for 15 minutes, then we’ll show them what we can do. I want to tell them: Dear younger brother, remove the police for 15 seconds, and neither will you know where you came from or went.”

These remarks were made in response to Akbaruddin Owaisi’s infamous 2013 statement, “If somebody removed the police for 15 minutes, we (Muslims) would finish 100 crore Hindus.”

In reaction to Rana’s challenge, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi dared her to take one hour instead of 15 seconds to demonstrate her capabilities. “You do it. I’m here. Let’s see,” he added.

Owaisi stated, “I will tell Modi ji to give her 15 seconds. What will you do? We, too, want to see if you have any humanity left in you. Who is scared? We are ready. If someone is making open calls for it, then let it be. PM is yours, RSS is yours, everything is yours. Do it. Who is stopping you? Tell us where we have to go. We will be there. Do it.”

Last week, Navneet Rana sparked controversy when she remarked that those unwilling to say ‘Jai Shri Ram’ can go to Pakistan. She made this statement while addressing a gathering in Gujarat on Sunday. Rana, the incumbent independent MP from Amravati in Maharashtra, is also a prominent campaigner in Gujarat.
