Justice For Men

No Justice for Men- A Society That Turns a Blind Eye

Being a man in India or many other parts of the world is disheartening. It often feels like men are blamed for everything that goes wrong in society, while women receive sympathy and support. If something happens, the assumption is that the man is the culprit, and society is quick to criticize and judge. On the other hand, when it comes to safety or government support, it is always women who are prioritized. Men often feel as if they are only here to be blamed, humiliated, and left without justice.

If a woman accuses a man of something, whether true or not, society, the police, and the government act swiftly to ensure she receives justice. The man, meanwhile, is quickly taken into custody and punished, sometimes without a proper investigation. But what happens when a man seeks justice? There’s often no place for him to find it. Men feel like they have no rights until they reach a breaking point, sometimes resorting to extreme measures like suicide because they see no way out of their suffering. Even then, justice for men is nowhere to be found.

The police often don’t take a man’s complaint seriously. They may refuse to file an FIR or add false details to the case. Even if a case is opened, it may eventually be closed without investigation, and the file gets buried in some archive, leaving the man to suffer in silence. The system seems to turn a blind eye to men needing help while offering support to others. It’s a sad reality that many men live with, and it’s time we address this imbalance and start treating everyone with the dignity and fairness they deserve.
