SpiceJet Employee Arrested for Slapping CISF Officer

Incident Overview: A SpiceJet employee was arrested following an altercation with a male Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) at Jaipur airport. The incident, captured on CCTV, arose from a dispute over security screening.

Details of the Incident: According to CISF officials, the employee, Anuradha Rani, was stopped by ASI Giriraj Prasad around 4 a.m. for attempting to enter through a gate without proper authorization. She was then directed to undergo screening meant for airline crew at another entrance. However, no female CISF personnel were available at that location.

Escalation and Confrontation: As tensions escalated, ASI Giriraj Prasad called for a female colleague to conduct the security check. Unfortunately, the situation escalated further, culminating in Anuradha Rani slapping the ASI.

Response from Authorities and SpiceJet: Jaipur airport’s station house officer, Ram Lal, confirmed the incident and noted the charges against the SpiceJet employee. In response, a SpiceJet spokesperson stated that the employee possessed a valid airport entry pass issued by BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security).

Allegations and Legal Action: The airline alleges that the CISF personnel used inappropriate language and made unacceptable advances towards their employee. They have initiated legal action against the ASI for sexual harassment and have filed a complaint with the local police.

Legal Proceedings: Police have registered a case against Anuradha Rani under sections 121 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from his duty) and 132 (assaulting a public servant) of Bharat Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Conclusion: The incident has sparked controversy and legal action from both sides, highlighting issues of security protocol and employee rights at airports.
