About AP TET
AP TET is a state-level teacher eligibility examination conducted to recruit teachers for government schools in Andhra Pradesh. The exam consists of two papers:
- Paper 1 qualifies candidates to teach students from Class 1 to 5.
- Paper 2 qualifies candidates to teach students from Classes 6 to 8.
Passing Criteria
To pass the AP TET exam:
- Candidates need at least 60% marks.
- For Backward Classes, the passing mark is reduced to 50%.
- For SC, ST, differently abled, and veterans categories, the passing mark is 40%, per reservation rules.
