Tragic End to Onam Festivities: Sacred Heart College Professor Passes Away
During the Onam celebrations, tragedy struck Sacred Heart College in Thevara, Kochi, on Thursday. James V. George, a 38-year-old Assistant Professor in the Commerce Department, was participating in the festivities when he suddenly collapsed.
James, a dedicated college member since 2014 and also served as the staff secretary, was actively involved in organizing and taking part in the Onam events. Following a spirited tug-of-war game, he unexpectedly fell ill. Initially, his condition seemed stable after a check-up at the college clinic, where his vitals were reported as normal. However, while resting at the clinic, James collapsed once more. He was swiftly transferred to Ernakulam Medical Trust Hospital, but despite efforts to save him, he passed away.
